Some comp sketches for a simple pattern based White Rabbit chase series.
Zara cape and….wolf coat which is basically me when I make a blanket burrito.
Must be the season of the witch.
Thanks to everyone who gave their input on the Alice post! :)
Got a little ways with this one yesterday, but then it was getting a little compositionally blah. So, I’m starting over.
Comp sketches for an upcoming show at Flower Pepper Gallery. Haven’t picked one yet. Any thoughts?
"It is important to look at death because it is a part of life. It is a sad thing, melancholic but romantic at the same time. It is the end of a cycle — everything has to end. The cycle of life is positive because it gives room for new things." - Alexander McQueen
The first of a few bunches of these. Haven’t decided on the final application yet…a zine? Mrpp..
Here’s my final piece for the Naughty Dog 30th Anniversary show at Gallery Nucleus. Check out the promo video celebrating 30 awesome years. Happy dirty 30 Naughty Dog. ;)
I chose the giraffe herd scene from The Last of Us because it’s one of my favorite moments in the game. The contrast between the thriving natural world and the crumbling city is really striking, and it’s such a captivating moment of optimism and calm at a point in the story where so much has been suffered and lost. Ellie and Joel are so great together.
I’m excited — and nervous — to be doing interviews at the press night. For anyone in the area, the opening is next Saturday, Sept. 27th!
The beginnings of a Last of Us piece for an upcoming show. From here, it’s adding colors and refining.
Kudos if you can guess the scene!
1. Sketching and continuing to debate whether the legend of Tam Lin would make for an ok graphic novel story for me.
2. A harpy lady (I guess she’s also wondering).
3. …and the enviably lovely Zoe Suen.
Another recent thing from work: puppies for yearly touchpoint pieces.
Some musings from yesterday.
